A week ago I traveled to Maracaibo, after almost three years of absence, to accompany my family in strong health crisis that was my father. I spent five days in which I could spend time with my sister and her daughters, my nieces, who have been raised by his grandfather in practice. I stayed those five days in my parents’ apartment, where my sister and my nieces also live for several years. Despite the delicate health situation of my father and all the fears and anxieties that this situation creates, our coexistence was light and intimate, with the intimacy that establishes who always learn to love silence. I took the opportunity to photograph those difficult and strange moments that crossed my sister and my nieces, they could well be guardian angels.
